LANDESK now offers app wrapping as part of its MAM toolset
IT solutions provider LANDESK has announced app wrapping to its enterprise mobility management (EMM) platform feature set.
“We strive to provide users with the most intuitive and easy to understand products available,” said Stephen Brown, LANDESK director of product management. “While most application wrapping software is quite cumbersome, our solution allows an IT administrator to wrap an application in one step and deploy it to users.
“We know this simplicity will improve the productivity of the IT managers and their user base to help them focus on the important tasks the need to accomplish,” he added.
Adding app wrapping to their mobile app management will enable easier integration of mobile app security into BYOD policies, with data encryption and single sign-on capability. The solution is available for both Android and iOS.
While not one of the major enterprise mobility management vendors, LANDESK is slowly making waves. The company found a place as a ‘follower’ on Ovum’s decision matrix, with a particularly high score on product scalability.
Earlier this month LANDESK acquired connectivity solutions provider Naurtech, a company which offers the only SAP-recommended mobile browser in the market. Naurtech expands LANDESK’s presence in vertical markets such as retail, manufacturing, distribution and logistics, and represents the firm’s third mobility acquisition in three years.
“We have long admired the service that LANDESK offers its customers in the ruggedized space and we are honoured to be joining forces with them,” said Pankaj Nauriyal, Naurtech VP sales and business development in a statement. “We are excited for what the future holds as part of LANDESK.”
