With a view to aid end users by removing the stress of switching between and managing multiple apps at work, enterprise messaging app Flock has rolled out its app store. Now users will be able to integrate a number of external work apps and services and get notifications within Flock. At present, the app store facilitates integration with apps such as Trello, Github, Twitter, Jira and Bitbucket among others.
For example, users can get updates on changes made to boards, cards and lists by integrating the Trello app while plugging in the Twitter app will allow the marketing team to gain instant alerts on the voice of consumers on social media concerning their brands. The company added that it would soon allow organisations and developers to build their own apps and chatbots that meet their own needs.
Bhavin Turakhia, CEO and Founder, Flock, said: “This is the next logical step for Flock as a product. The App Store makes Flock incredibly powerful, especially considering the rich functionality we already have in place such as to-do’s, reminders, polls and code snippet sharing. Combined with these features, it makes it possible for your app to start a conversation within a group by notifying you about something important, and you can take immediate remedial action, whether it is the next step in a project or reactive marketing on social media. I am extremely excited by the direction in which Flock is heading as a product.”
